According to ISO 14001:2004, 'ENVIRONMENT' is defined as, "The surroundings in which an organisation operates, including air, water, land, natural resources, flora, fauna, humans, and their interrelation".   As the environmental impacts of the organisation potentially interrelate throughtout the world, the environment in this context extends from the workplace to the global system. 

When people speak about 'Customers', they are really speaking about 'YOU' and 'ME', whether we are receiving an internal cross-functional product or service, or an external Customer engaged in a sales transaction (often, of course, we refer to our internal Customers as our 'workmates').  

As such, more and more of us are choosing to interact with companies who embrace SAFETY, HEALTH, QUALITY and ENVIRONMENTAL strategies, where an inter-relation stance and style of 'personal excellence' is the norm rather than an exception

...This is the catalyst for successful performance results.

'QUALITY' in terms of business success often means giving Customers exactly what they want at the right time, right place, at the right price, (and the right cost), resulting in meeting Customer expectations each and every time.   Aligned with Behavioural and Cultural Change initiatives it also encompasses individuals having the right attitude, right approach, right care, and right language during everyday interactions to maximise inter-personal relationships and personal performance results.
